Brand Dilemma

Prior to partnering with Verdi Commerce in the first quarter of 2021, Cuisinart made refurbished goods available to their channel.  While buyers weren’t difficult to find, the process was plagued by a variety of issues:

  • Difficulty selling low-velocity items 
  • Multiple resellers eroding retail price points and product margins
  • Unreliable demand with volatile pricing 
  • Inconsistent customer experience & diminished brand value
  • Multiple instances of refurbished units being sold as new 
  • Poor content across listings on Amazon and eBay

  • Verdi became Cuisinart’s one-stop shop for refurbished products, committing to purchase their entire flow of goods. 
  • Verdi’s content team improved the Cuisinart listings on major marketplaces and created a brand-specific eBay store to improve customer experience.
  • Cuisinart refurbished listings were introduced to new digital channels like Target+ and Walmart, adding millions of new potential customers.
